I'm out - she's in!

Ok, day #2 as a "blogger."

Thanks for the comments! And thanks Manic for directing some folks my way.

Yes, I am a female, married, kids -2 of them and a pet.

Can I vent for a moment?

I have been displaced! I no longer have an "office" at my office - so, you would think that would be fine because that means I can work from home full time, right? WRONG, well, kind of right..... I can work from home, but, I like my office, I get to see people, communicate, socialize. Now I will only see people if I set appointments and go to them. Am I being crazy? I went into my office today and the "new girl" is sitting at my desk. She's cute..... aren't I supposed to be the "cute, fun, office girl?" I don't know? I like having a "place" to go everyday, it makes me feel important, not that my job is sooooooo important, I don't save lives, or inspire people (actually, I would love to feel like I inspire people). I don't want to save lives though, can you imagine the stress? For those of you that do (save lives), I commend you! I admire you! Maybe I envy you? How do you not become attached? I know I am rambling, but isn't that what blogging is about? So, I am presently in my office - her office, sitting in a chair next to my desk (her desk) - I didn't know she was starting today so my plan for the day has been demolished! I wonder if she knows I am talking about her right now? She mentioned to me that she was not ignoring me (I wasn't even talking to her), but she was typing on her laptop. Oh, you are soooooo important, aren't you? Anyway, that's all for now - am I crazy? I would love to know your comments and please ...SEND ME READERS!!

Ha, I laughed at this one. The new girl is worried that she is ignoring you!

I saw you posted a comment over at Drew's--that's the way to get interest into your blog, just find others you like and leave nice notes.

What do you do for a living, and if you loved your office so much, why are you now working from home?

To find other bloggers, you can google Mom Blogs (you mentioned you have two kids) and there are 'networks' of mom blogs where you can join, or read their blogs and comment to find other moms like you.

I think on my blog, to the right on the sidebar are a couple of things that say like Mom bloggers, or whatever and if you click on those links it should take you to the blogs of moms.

Wheeeeee, get 'em! I'm actually about to change day jobs, but at our "cute girl" who came along a bit ago is actually a cute woman, a mom and a very down-to-earth individual who, unfortunately is going to be handed a whole new set of responsibilities when I depart, and I don't think she's ready.

I work from home, too, so I feel your pain. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry you have to do something you don't want to do. That has to suck. Visit me lots... I don't normally have anything very important to say, but I enjoy saying it anyway :-)
